Ten weeks, 70 days, two and a half months…what can you accomplish in that amount of time? While Ricky wasn’t downing energy drinks, teaching himself to play guitar or recording his debut album, during 10 weeks in 2008, here’s what he did.
Read Ricky’s story and watch his video interview below:
My wife would encourage me to go do some kind of workout routine with her occasionally but since I had never worked out in my life, I just didn’t really know where to start. Weight wise, I was about 208 pounds. I told her I would participate for 12 weeks and after 12 weeks, that she could continue and I would be fine without it.
The results I achieved going through the program, most notably at first, was just the weight loss. After following the plan that was laid out before us, I lost about 30 pounds. It was pretty quick, 8-10 weeks’ time. Then once I’d gone through the weight-loss portion, the muscle continued to build.
The quality of life since making this life change, if you will, has been great. My energy levels are much greater than what they were before, and just my mental focus has been improved as well. I spend time working on the toys. I spend time with grandkids. I usually have a good, full day of work.
I started working with New Wave Fitness in October 2008. My original plan was for 12 weeks. To this date, I’m still following the same routine that was laid out before me then. My recommendation would be that people try the 12-week plan and you’ll be addicted to it.”
