June 2013 Fitness Success Story

“I’ve lost 75 pounds!”

Parisa: My name is Parisa Ghaseminejad and I’m from Boston originally but live in Dallas, Texas now.

Beforehand, I was living a really unhealthy lifestyle—fast food, drinking. I was going out a lot and not really watching my calories. It was a pretty bad lifestyle, I’d say. It was really late nights and going to Whataburger at 2:00 in the morning.

Hut: How did you feel?

Parisa: Just miserable. I wasn’t working out at all. I could barely walk. Ten minutes of walking would get me out of breath, so no energy. I was in this vicious cycle because I was always craving fast food, always craving sugar. Pretty much I was just going to work and going home and then just partying. I didn’t really have energy to do anything else.

I’ve done the diets where I’m not eating until dinner time or eating breakfast only. I’ve done those smoothies. I’ve done everything, you name it. As you can tell, until I met you guys none of those things worked.

Hut: Speaking of that, were you skeptical about whether we could help you or not?

Parisa: Yes, I was because, like I just said, I’ve tried all those different diets and nothing worked. I went back to eating bad, so I was very skeptical.

Hut: What type of results have you achieved since working with us?Parisa

Parisa: I’ve lost seven dress sizes, 25% body fat and I’m now a size 6 or 8 and I used to be a 14/16. Actually, once I got to the size 14 and I almost got into a 16 I was like, “I need to do something,” and that’s why I called you guys. That was the best decision I’ve made.

Hut: Great! How much weight did you end up losing?

Parisa: I’ve lost 75 pounds.

Hut: Wow!

Parisa: It’s pretty exciting, yes!

Hut: That’s very exciting. How do you feel now as a result of losing the weight and having more energy?

Parisa: It’s a complete lifestyle change. I now have a dog. I go running. I have so much energy now sometimes my fiancée is like, “Calm down. You need to take a break, ” because I always feel this adrenaline now because I’m eating well, I’m working out. I’m doing everything I’m supposed to so now I’m not waking up at 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning with an upset stomach from eating all the bad foods. I’m living life. I’m really enjoying it.

I see myself continuing on—working out, working out with you guys. I’m hoping to continue. I hoping to maybe get down to a size 2 or 4. I don’t want to get too skinny. You guys have definitely helped motivate to eat right and continue my workouts. It’s a lifestyle change. It’s not something where, “Okay, I’m going to work out for three months,” and then quit. It’s something you have plan out. If I get sick, if I miss a day, I make sure I make up those hours. To me, five years from now, I see myself doing the same thing and hoepfully I’ll even have better results by then We’ll see!

Hut: Great! Awesome results.

Parisa: Thank you. I’m really excited about them.

Hut: What would you say to someone who may be on the fence about getting help from a fitness professional?

Parisa: I think if you’ve tried everything too, nothing’s successful, you need to do it because, for me, if I didn’t do it, I don’t think I would be getting married right now. I don’t think I’d have the energy. I wouldn’t have the friends from going out and meeting the right people. To me, I see that people need to go get professional help. The crash diets aren’t going to work. You’re just going to hurt your body. Get your nutrition right, focus on working out and then go from there. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for you guys.

Hut: Great! That is an amazing story. We are very happy for your success. You will truly motivate other people to make the lifestyle change. Thank you so much.

Parisa: Thank you!
