So let me tell you about me, my company and the coaching position.
My name is Hut Allred and I run an in-home fitness and nutrition coaching company called New Wave Fitness, Inc. in DFW.
My business is dedicated to helping women and men achieve their health and fitness goals through customized nutrition and fitness programs.
And business is booming!
I'm looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person to start training future clients.
My company provides in-home fitness coaching in Dallas / Fort Worth & surrounding cities.
I currently offer one-on-one customized fitness & nutrition programs, which educate, motivate, and support men & women to improve their health and fitness.
All clients begin with an initial 12, 24, 36, or 48-week coaching package which includes: nutrition counseling, exercise program design, nutritional supplements, monthly fitness assessments and 2, 3, or 4 weekly training sessions at our clients' home.
If you are hired for a full-time personal training position, you'll coach clients in their homes 6 days a week for 4 to 6 hours per day (a.m. & p.m hours). Working days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday a.m., & Saturday a.m.
If you are hired for a part-time personal training position, you'll coach clients in their homes 3 to 6 days a week for 1 to 2 hours per day (a.m. & p.m hours). Working days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday a.m., & Saturday a.m.
Bottom line: Full-time personal training position is 25 - 30 hours & Part-time personal training position is 5 - 10 hours of training clients per week. You will be paid as a contractor, and have the opportunity to move up based on performance. My company offers a fun & exciting environment, with the opportunity to learn the inner-workings of being a successful personal trainer.

You will be compensated fairly, treated fairly and I will certainly look for ways to pay you more for your efforts if they warrant it. Tasks You'll Be Expected To Perform
Manage Client Schedule: You'll be responsible for managing your clients' sessions and schedulse.
Implement our comprehensive health & fitness program for clients: You'll receive coaching and training on our fitness system, but you'll have some flexibility to incorporate your training style and knowledge.
Tracking Client Progress: In order to ensure a client's success in our 12, 24, or 48-week program, you'll need to track weekly progress, current successes and challenges, and exercise log worksheets on a weekly basis. It will be your job to hold a client accountable to his/her health and fitness program to ensure the best results possible.
Perform Fitness Evaluations: Ideally, you'll have some fitness assessment skills and can test for: body composition, body weight, girth measurements, heart rate and various strength and flexibility tests.
Coach clients through 12, 24, 36, or 48-week program: You'll be responsible for weekly exercise sessions and keeping detailed weekly progress reports on the clients you're working with. If a client is having challenges throughout his/her program, you'll coach and motivate the client and make appropriate changes to ensure consistent progress.
Demonstrate Proper Exercise Instruction: This is a big one. I need you to be able to provide proper coaching, instruction, and motivation during a client training session. You should have a working knowledge of the human body (i.e. muscles, movements, functions, etc.)
Provide Ongoing Health and Fitness Education: Our clients rely on us to service all of their health and fitness needs. It is your job as a fitness coach to provide your clients with health and fitness education on various topics that will empower them to lead healthy lives forever. You'll be provided with educational tools and resources.
These are the skills you must already have in order to qualify for this position:
- National Certification
- Previous personal training experience (fitness studio, health club, in-home trainer, etc.)
- Good Communication Skills: you will be talking with my clients, who are VERY important to me. You must be comfortable conversing in-person and on the phone and know how to conduct yourself professionally, and deliver clear instructions to the clients. We'll teach you everything you need to do during a training session, but I can't teach you manners and professionalism.
- People skills and personality: You must LOVE working with people! As mentioned above you must be very comfortable working with people. This is an exciting company and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them.
- Health and Fitness Education: You should have a working knowledge of health and fitness.
If you have these additional skills, your resume will go right to the top of the stack (but if you don't have these skills, you should still apply.)

Our training system is constructed so that all the trainers are on the same page. If a trainer has to fill in for another trainer, there is a system in place. That keeps the clients moving in the direction they want to go and lessens the confusion of the trainer filling in.

What I really like about working for New Wave is that I don’t have to write out workouts for my clients. I just show up and follow the workout for that day. I also like the fact that I don’t have to spend time bringing in new business… New Wave provides clients for the trainers. I only have to focus on training my clients.

Hey there… to all future team members, my name is David. I started with New Wave Fitness part time in 2010 and quickly moved over to full time. The thing I like most is, you train clients in the home and you meet their spouses, pets, and children. It is a way more intimate setting. By training clients in-home, they don’t have the fear of being embarrassed in the public eye. It is in their home in a comfortable setting. We become like extended family.
