We may even write them down, make a list of things we&#8217;d like to achieve by a certain date and time, but what happens to that list? Take a look back at the past year&#8211;can you think of anything you wanted to accomplish but didn&#8217;t?<\/p>\n<p>The difference between simply making the list of goals and actually attaining those goals is one word: ACTION. If we never take action and move in the direction to get things done, our goals mean nothing.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;The road to hell is paved with good intentions&#8230;&#8221; <\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;I meant to do that!&#8221;<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;Here are my New Year&#8217;s resolutions.&#8221;<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Famous last words, right? This time, take action to achieve your goals. That&#8217;s what Kyle &amp; Wendy Faegre did last year. They made a commitment to improve their level of fitness and get in shape. Now, one year later, they can look back and say, &#8220;We did it!!&#8221; How are they doing now? Are they still staying on track? We checked in with them for an update:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Note: October 2012 is the last time we interviewed Kyle &amp; Wendy. (weight\/inches lost, increased fitness level, etc.)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Kyle &amp; Wendy: <\/strong><\/span>We reached our initial weight loss goals.\u00a0 Since October 2012 our focus has shifted to maintaining that level and really shaping and toning our bodies.\u00a0 We\u2019ve seen lots of muscle definition show up in places we never had it before.<\/p>\n<p>Wendy\u2019s back, shoulders, abs, and arms have really developed a lot of nice shape and tone.\u00a0 Wendy\u2019s legs have never looked better.\u00a0 Kyle\u2019s shoulders, arms, and upper chest now have defined muscle shape that they never had before.\u00a0 Now seeing new leg muscle definition as well.<\/p>\n<p>Our cardio, stamina is also greatly increased.\u00a0 We can push through any of our training sessions, or other activity, without being totally worn out like we would have been early on.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>NWF:<\/strong><\/span> What kinds of compliments have you received from family &amp; friends?<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_959\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-959\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.personaltrainersindallas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/faegre_before-after.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-959 \" alt=\"Kyle &amp; Wendy Faegre's Success Story\" src=\"http:\/\/www.personaltrainersindallas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/faegre_before-after-300x300.jpg\" width=\"210\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-959\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">October 2012<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Kyle &amp; Wendy: <\/span><\/strong>We\u2019ve both gotten a variety of compliments from friends, family, and strangers.\u00a0 We were recently on vacation where Wendy was complimented by another female guest in the fitness center at the hotel (we were getting in our cardio!) on how good her body looked.\u00a0 The woman almost died when Wendy told her she was 51!<\/p>\n<p>Lots of folks continue to ask how we\u2019ve been able to achieve what we have.\u00a0 The answer is always the same \u2013 you have to commit to what it takes to truly make a difference because it isn\u2019t free.\u00a0 You just have to start and commit to it.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>NWF:<\/strong><\/span> Have you ventured out of your comfort zone? (trips, activities, etc.)<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Kyle &amp; Wendy: <\/span><\/strong>Not sure we would say we\u2019ve \u201cventured out of our comfort zone\u201d but we have certainly been able to buy new clothes that we probably wouldn\u2019t have worn well before as they wouldn\u2019t have looked good.\u00a0 We were both well prepared for swimsuit season this summer!\u00a0 Wendy got lots of compliments rocking out her new bikinis on vacation.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">NWF:<\/span> <\/strong>What is your maintenance plan for exercise and nutrition?<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1398\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1398\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.personaltrainersindallas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/BA_Faegre_2013.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1398 \" alt=\"BA_Faegre_2013\" src=\"http:\/\/www.personaltrainersindallas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/BA_Faegre_2013-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1398\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">July 2013<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Kyle &amp; Wendy:<\/span> <\/strong>Once we reached our weight goals we\u2019ve really adapted our daily lives to a couple of things in order to maintain and continue to improve.\u00a0 First, we are certainly more aware of what we are doing nutrition-wise.\u00a0 It\u2019s is simply paying attention to what choices you make on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p>We don\u2019t \u201cdeprive\u201d ourselves of things we truly enjoy like cooking, gourmet food, wine.\u00a0 Those things are still part of our lives.\u00a0 We just minimize those things that were really just throwaway calories.\u00a0 No more daily Venti Lattes!<\/p>\n<p>Second, we\u2019ve learned from our trainer the importance of protein and other aspects of nutrition to what our bodies\/muscles need to stay in shape.\u00a0 That post-workout protein drinks are just part of our routine.\u00a0 We\u2019ve also had success with using the Soy Energizing protein before bed to keep the engine running over night.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>NWF:<\/strong><\/span> How do your accomplishments make you feel?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Kyle &amp; Wendy: <\/span><\/strong>We both feel like we\u2019ve begun turning back the clock!\u00a0 We both have never felt stronger.\u00a0 We look around and feel great about how we look and feel at our age.\u00a0 We can now feel confident in looking forward to living longer, enjoying every minute of it.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;Thanks New Wave for getting us started and thanks David for making it happen every training session.\u00a0 We\u2019ve inserted a positive pattern into our lives that we won\u2019t let go of, the results are too good to stop.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8211; Kyle &amp; Wendy Faegre<\/strong><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How often do we think about goals we&#8217;d like to reach and then quickly forget about them?
