We\u2019re here in Lewisville, Texas.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Craig:<\/strong><\/span> Doing it a little different today.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> Changing it up.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Craig:<\/span><\/strong> Getting out of Plano, coming to Lewisville.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Hut:<\/span><\/strong> All the stores may look the same, but we are in a different location today.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Craig:<\/span><\/strong> We decided we wanted to show something a little different today. I think a lot of people don\u2019t know about this category\u2014and that is a seated elliptical. We\u2019re stoked about it. It\u2019s something that\u2019s awesome.<\/p>\n<p>So many people come in looking for a recumbent bike, and what they don\u2019t realize is they can actually get into a seated elliptical, which also has upper-body motion on the machine.<\/p>\n<p>So you\u2019re getting a way better workout, and the amount of calories being burned increases about 33% going just from a regular recumbent bike to a seated elliptical. It\u2019s just an amazing product.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> It\u2019s probably a good product for people who maybe don\u2019t want to jump into a standing elliptical?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Craig:<\/span><\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> Not as much stress on the body, but seated, easy step-up from a traditional bike.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Craig:<\/span> <\/strong>Yes, exactly, it\u2019s like that next step. You get on an [traditional] elliptical and you can get a good workout, but sometimes people need to be sitting. They may have some back issues. The one fallacy is that if you\u2019re sitting down, you won\u2019t get a good workout.<\/p>\n<p>People think, \u201cIt\u2019s not as weight bearing, so is it really going to get my heart rate up?\u201d Let me tell you something. This seated elliptical will make you cry for your mommy. Let me show you some stuff. It\u2019s very easy.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing that\u2019s simple is getting in and out. It\u2019s got a nice, open area so anybody could just literally get in and sit down. The adjustment is easy on the seat, up and down. It\u2019s got hydraulics built into it, which is incredible. And it even has a tilt adjustment forward and back too. It\u2019s pretty awesome.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> So you can find the right position.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Craig:<\/strong><\/span> You can find the sweet spot where it doesn\u2019t put any pressure on your joints whatsoever. The biggest thing is just the smoothness of it. It\u2019s so wicked smooth. You\u2019ve got the upper-body motion here as well, which is really cool. Listen to how quiet it is. Everybody, silence! Wow! Crazy!<\/p>\n<p>Then they take it the next step, and that\u2019s with their programming. Octane Fitness does a great job with that. Their programs actually have personal trainers that are built into it. As an example, do you see here, it says, \u201cChest press,\u201d and here is says, \u201cLeg press\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>If I hit \u201cChest press\u201d while I\u2019m working out, it will literally tell me to place my feet on these pegs and now while I\u2019m on the machine, I\u2019m going to pull and push, and the resistance goes way up. I\u2019m literally going to do 10 repetitions. When it\u2019s done, go back to my legs again.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> And it continues to do that periodically throughout the workout.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.personaltrainersindallas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/05_May_13_SeatedElliptical.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1251\" src=\"http:\/\/www.personaltrainersindallas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/05_May_13_SeatedElliptical-300x226.jpg\" alt=\"Octane xRide Seated Elliptical\" width=\"300\" height=\"226\" \/><\/a>Craig:<\/strong> <\/span>That\u2019s what\u2019s cool about it. If you activate the \u201cChest press\u201d feature, or you activate the \u201cLeg press\u201d feature while you\u2019re on there, it\u2019s like a personal trainer that\u2019s going to keep coming on and off, let\u2019s say every minute and a half to two minutes, depending on how you customize it. Really, really cool. They\u2019ve just done an awesome job.<\/p>\n<p>All of this is just to keep you engaged. The most important thing is just the fact that you\u2019ve got a machine that\u2019s comfortable, incredibly smooth. You have upper body and lower body, so you\u2019re hitting a ton more muscle groups. And it just feels great.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> It looks great. Makes me want to just sit down on it&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Craig:<\/strong><\/span> And work out!<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Hut:<\/span><\/strong> Great to watch TV in.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Craig:<\/strong><\/span> That\u2019s the other thing\u2014just put it in front of your television and go.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> This could be your recliner.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Craig:<\/strong><\/span> I don\u2019t know that there can be any excuses when you\u2019ve got something like this that has a full-body motion and you can adjust the tilt, that\u2019s this comfortable, that\u2019s quiet, that\u2019s smooth. What excuse does somebody come up with to not be able to do this? Nothing.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong> <\/span>Zero.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Craig:<\/strong> <\/span>And do you know what the most important thing is? Perceived exertion\u2014it\u2019s very low, but the calories you\u2019re burning are very high. I think those two things combined is pretty awesome.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Hut:<\/strong><\/span> That\u2019s great.
